“Section 30 of the Police Act to be in force across Vikarabad District till February 28” – District SP Smt. Sneha Mehra, IPS
Keeping in view the maintenance of law and order in Vikarabad District, District Superintendent of Police Smt. Sneha Mehra, IPS, announced that Section 30 of the Police Act will be enforced across the district from February 1 to February 28. She stated that this decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to prevent any untoward incidents and to ensure that public life is not disrupted.
She clarified that during the enforcement of this Act, organizing dharnas, rasta rokos, public meetings, rallies, processions, or any programmes involving the gathering of people without prior permission from the police authorities is strictly prohibited within the district limits.
The SP further stated that any programme organized in the name of festivals or political meetings must obtain written permission from the concerned police authorities at least one week in advance. Even after obtaining permission, organizers must strictly adhere to the prescribed conditions and must not use loudspeakers beyond the permitted limits or in a manner causing noise pollution. She warned that strict legal action will be taken against those who damage public property or obstruct public movement by blocking roads.
The SP particularly cautioned that police surveillance will be maintained on social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and X (Twitter), and stringent action will be taken against those spreading false information. She warned that cases will be registered under the IT Act and Section 30 of the Police Act against individuals who post or share provocative content or messages intended to incite hatred between castes or religions, and action will be taken as per law.
District SP Smt. Sneha Mehra, IPS, appealed to all residents of the district to cooperate with the police department, respect the law, and help maintain a peaceful and harmonious environment.
