Assam Rifles Convoy Ambushed in Bishnupur District |
A tragic ambush on an Assam Rifles convoy near Nambol Sabal Leikai in Bishnupur district left two personnel dead and five injured.
The attack occurred on National Highway-2, around 8 km from Imphal Airport, causing widespread concern. Former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh visited the injured at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Imphal, condemning the incident as a “cruel blow.”
The attack underscores ongoing security challenges in the region and the need for vigilance along key routes.
