Tripura Expands Bamboo Industry for Rural Growth
Tripura is strengthening its bamboo industry by improving processing facilities, promoting product diversification, and expanding market access for bamboo-based products. The initiative aims to add greater value to locally produced bamboo while encouraging sustainable industrial development across the state.
The expansion is expected to improve rural livelihoods, promote entrepreneurship, and create new employment opportunities. Increased exports of value-added bamboo products are also likely to strengthen Tripura's economy and enhance the state's position in India's bamboo industry.
