Van Mahotsav 2026: Green Drive Combats Landslides
"Van Mahotsav Week," India’s annual "Festival of Forests," has officially commenced across Manipur, sparking widespread environmental action. In Tamenglong, the event kicked off with massive tree plantation drives under the national campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 3.0.”
This initiative is more than just a ceremonial planting; it is a strategic effort to promote long-term environmental conservation and mitigate the region's increasing vulnerability to landslides.
