Assam has intensified its flood management and disaster relief measures to reduce recurring monsoon damage across the Brahmaputra valley. The government is strengthening embankments, improving early warning systems, and expanding rescue infrastructure under SDRF and NDRF coordination. Relief camps, medical aid, and rehabilitation support are being upgraded for affected communities.
Smart monitoring of river levels and erosion-prone zones is also being implemented. These initiatives aim to minimize loss of life and property while building long-term resilience against climate-induced flooding across vulnerable districts of Assam.
