Kolkata Metro Expansion Boosts Urban Connectivity
Kolkata Metro's expansion projects continue to make significant progress, with particular focus on the Orange Line corridor connecting New Garia to the airport. The project is a major step toward enhancing the city's public transportation network and addressing the growing demand for efficient and reliable urban mobility.
Once operational, the corridor is expected to provide seamless connectivity between South Kolkata, Salt Lake, New Town, and the airport, substantially reducing travel time for commuters. The expansion is also anticipated to support sustainable transportation, ease road congestion, and contribute to the city's long-term infrastructure development goals.
