Special Team Deployed to Resolve Mayabunder Power Crisis Following Generator Breakdown
Residents and businesses in Mayabunder and Tugapur are facing significant challenges following a major breakdown of a critical Diesel Generator (DG) set at the local powerhouse. The severe electricity outages have disrupted daily life and essential services across these North Andaman regions. In swift response, the Power Department has deployed a special administrative team, led personally by the Director (Power), to oversee the urgent repair work and manage the unfolding crisis. Efforts are focused on restoring power as quickly as possible, although the complex nature of the breakdown means disruptions may continue in the short term.
