Breakthrough in Ladakh Democratic Talks

 The Ministry of Home Affairs agreed to restore full democratic governance by creating an elected legislative assembly with a Chief Minister.

 Furthermore, the Centre proposed constitutional safeguards for Ladakh's identity, land, and culture under Article 371, mimicking protections given to states like Nagaland and Mizoram.
