Mining Jackpot: Rare Minerals Found in Banka & Bhagalpur
Bihar is emerging as a massive hotspot on India’s mineral map. The state government announced the discovery of critical rare earth elements, including cobalt in Banka and titanium and glauconite in Bhagalpur.
State Mines and Geology Minister Pramod Kumar confirmed that commercial mining operations are on the horizon, with the Centre initiating auctions for 14 essential mineral blocks.
These high-value discoveries are expected to exponentially boost Bihar's industrial economy, driving major future investments into advanced technology, defense equipment production, and the electric vehicle manufacturing sector.
