Transnational Syndicate Crushed: NCB Narcotics Bust
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) dealt a massive blow to the illicit drug trade operating heavily across Tripura and the broader Northeast corridor.
In a high-stakes operation executed in Delhi, federal agents successfully arrested a notorious Myanmar-based drug kingpin, Thancintuang. The individual was managing an extensive international syndicate smuggling contraband across international borders into Tripura’s transit routes.
Law enforcement officials stated that this arrest will severely disrupt the cross-border trafficking supply lines and enhance the security framework of the vulnerable northeastern border states.
