Hyderabad police busted two units allegedly involved in manufacturing and selling adulterated food items in the Mailardevpally area.
Police apprehended Abdul Haque, owner of Lucky Foods in Subhan Colony, and Mohammed Qameruddin, owner of Zee Foods in Laxmiguda.
According to police, the accused were preparing sweets using spoiled ingredients and chemicals in unhygienic conditions and supplying them to local shops.
During the raid, authorities seized:
• 98 boxes of Motichoor Laddu
• 35 kg of loose laddu material
• Flavour powders and food colours
The total value of the seized material is estimated to be around ₹1.1 lakh.
Two cases have been registered at Mailardevpally Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
