Himachal Observes Anti-Chitta Day with Mass Drug Destruction
In a decisive move against the rising drug menace, Himachal Pradesh marked the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking by observing "Anti-Chitta Day." Demonstrating a firm commitment to public safety, state authorities executed the largest-ever simultaneous disposal of narcotics.
Over ₹13.28 crore worth of seized drugs were incinerated across 10 strategic locations. This massive operation sends a powerful message to illicit traffickers while highlighting the government's intensified efforts to curb drug abuse and protect the youth across the state from the devastating impact of substances like 'Chitta'.
