Heavy Rains Hit Himachal's Agriculture and Economy
Continuous monsoon rainfall has caused widespread damage to agricultural land, horticulture, and rural infrastructure across several districts of Himachal Pradesh. Apple orchards, vegetable farms, and other crops have been affected, with farmers and growers assessing losses while adverse weather continues to impact cultivation activities.
The damage is expected to affect agricultural output, rural livelihoods, and the local economy in the short term. Authorities have initiated restoration measures and are monitoring the situation to support affected farmers, repair rural infrastructure, and minimize disruptions to agricultural production and related business activities.
