Assam Expands Women and Child Welfare Programs
Assam has expanded its focus on women and child welfare through enhanced nutrition, education, and empowerment programs. Schemes supporting maternal health, child nutrition, and girl child education are being strengthened across rural and urban areas. Self-help groups and women entrepreneurship initiatives are promoting financial independence and skill development.
Child protection services and early education systems are also being improved to ensure better growth opportunities. The government aims to reduce malnutrition, improve literacy rates, and empower women socially and economically, creating a more inclusive and equitable society in Assam.
