Delhi Approves New EV Policy for Green Mobility
The Delhi Cabinet has approved a new Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy that will permit only electric auto-rickshaw registrations from 2027 and discontinue new petrol and CNG two-wheeler registrations from 2028. The policy aims to accelerate the transition toward cleaner transportation.
The new EV policy is expected to encourage electric vehicle adoption, attract investments in clean mobility, and expand charging infrastructure. The initiative also aims to reduce emissions, support sustainable urban transport, and create new business and employment opportunities in Delhi's EV ecosystem.
