Bullet Train Breakthrough: Tunnel Machine Reaches Ghansoli
The ambitious Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project marked a massive engineering milestone today.
The giant cutterhead of the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) successfully broke through into the Ghansoli shaft, clearing a major path for the underground and undersea tunnel beneath the Parsik Hill sector.
This engineering marvel connects crucial underground routes between Mumbai and Thane. Officials confirmed that excavation work is moving at an accelerated pace, bringing India’s first high-speed rail corridor closer to reality while minimizing ecological disruption on the surface.
