First Malayali in Football World Cup Squad
Tahsin Mohammed Jamshid, a 19-year-old winger from Thalassery, Kerala, has made history by becoming the first Malayali to be selected for a FIFA World Cup squad. He was named in Qatar’s official 26-man team for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the US, Canada, and Mexico.
